Someone asked me what the theme was.
I didn’t really have an answer.
I saw an old guy riding a skateboard.
That stuck with me.
“Same Old” is a contemporary figurative painting built around that moment. It’s simple, but not really - routine, age, movement… whatever you see in it is probably right.
Made with acrylics, oil pastels and found objects in Amsterdam on canvas, so the surface has a lot of texture and small details when you get closer.
